An 18 year-old male is facing a criminal charge after a weapons incident yesterday (Monday) in the area of 12th Avenue and Albert Street. This incident resulted in injuries and hospitalization for the 41 year-old male victim.
At approximately 1:56 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022, police were dispatched to the area of 12th Avenue and Albert Street after the Communications Centre received numerous reports of two males fighting at that location. When police arrived, they found a 41 year-old male at the intersection of 12th and Angus Street, who had sustained what appeared to be a stab wound. The victim was being helped by a member of the public. EMS arrived and transported the victim to hospital. Officers got a description of the suspect and found a male matching his description nearby. That individual was taken into custody without incident. Police also recovered an edged weapon believed to have been used in the assault.
Eighteen year-old Kevin BILLINGS-BARTH, of Regina, is charged with Aggravated Assault, section 268(1) CC. BILLINGS-BARTH made his first court appearance on the charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
