The Regina Police Service is asking for any information members of the public may have about an incident in which two young persons were bear sprayed by three suspects last week.
On Friday, May 13, after 3:30 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the playground of a school in the 1100 block of Princess Street, for a report that two young people had been bear-sprayed. The victims, ages 15 and 16, reported that three unknown males approached them, unannounced, and sprayed them with a substance, causing an instant burning sensation to eyes, nose and throat. The victims didn’t get a good look at the suspects and could only describe them as three male youths, completely dressed in black, including black masks. It’s alleged one of the suspects used the bear spray while the other two suspects stood behind him. The victims got initial first-aid to alleviate the symptoms of the bear spray before EMS arrived to assess them. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Anyone who may have information that could assist police is asked to contact the Regina Police Service
at 306-777-6500 or Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). The Regina Police Service thanks the public and the media for their support and cooperation in this matter.
