Regina Police Service members are investigating a motor vehicle collision in the early morning hours that caused considerable damage to a building in the 1800 block of Park Street.
At approximately 4:50 a.m. today (Thursday, March 3, 2022), police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Park Street for a report of a collision. The caller indicated a building housing a business had been hit be a vehicle. The caller was able to give police information about the vehicle, which appeared to have moved a short distance but was still nearby when police arrived. Police did not locate the vehicle driver at the scene. It appears the vehicle was heading northbound on Park Street; tire tracks show the vehicle crossed the northbound lanes and collided with the northwest corner of the shop. Police contacted the owner of the business to secure the shop. At this time, it does not appear there were any injuries as a result of the collision. The primary investigator of the collision will continue the investigation, which will include meeting with the registered owner of the vehicle. It is not known at this time if there will be any charges as a result of the investigation.
