Three individuals: a female and two males, are facing numerous charges in connection with a series of incidents, mainly involving theft and possession of stolen property.
On Saturday, January 8, 2022, police located a stolen grey Acura they’d been trying to recover for months. The vehicle was stolen from Academy Park Road on November 25-26, 2021. Police spotted the Acura, parked in the 800 block of Garnet Street, bearing a different license plate, later confirmed as stolen. The female driver and a front seat passenger (male) exited the vehicle and entered a house; police were able to arrest both without incident. Moments later, they also arrested two male passengers from the back seat of the stolen vehicle. There was a large quantity of property in the vehicle; some of it appeared to be brand-new. Because of other ongoing investigations, officers were able to determine the vehicle had been used in at least four other criminal incidents (although there was not evidence to charge the persons in custody with all four crimes). At the conclusion of the investigation, one of the male passengers was released without charge and the other three individuals were charged.
