As the result of ongoing investigation, the Regina Police Service has charged a 31 year-old male with Second-Degree Murder in connection with the death of 29 year-old Ahi S. EBROTIE, of Regina.
Just before 6:00 a.m., on November 14, 2021, police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Heseltine Road for a report of a death. Officers and EMS arrived and located a deceased adult male. Officers secured the scene, detained potential witnesses and requested additional resources including the Coroner, Forensic Identification, and Major Crimes. The death investigation was declared a homicide investigation on November 16th. Continued investigation led to the arrest of a 31 year-old male on November 23rd.
Thirty-one year-old Abdimalik Dahir MOHAMED, of Regina, is charged with:
- Second-Degree Murder, section 235(1) CC; and
- Breach of Release Order, section 145(5)(a) CC.
MOHAMED will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Investigation into this matter continues.
