Two adult males were arrested and charged early Saturday morning, after a two-vehicle collision in the southeast part of the city.
On Saturday, October 30, 2021, at approximately 3:25 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at Chuka Blvd and Arcola Ave. A westbound Ford F150 turned left in front of an eastbound Hyundai Accent resulting in a collision.
A 19 year-old male was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The investigation revealed both the driver of the Ford F150 and the driver of the Hyundai Accent were Impaired.
Nineteen year-old Liam Ivor HUTTON, of Balgonie, is charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance by Alcohol, Drug or a Combination of both [320.14(2) CC]. Fifty year-old Stacey KRESS, of Regina, is charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance by Alcohol, Drug or a Combination of both [320.14(2) CC] and Exceeding 80 MG of Alcohol within 2 hours of Operation of a Conveyance [320.14(1)(B) CC].
HUTTON will make his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court on November 21, 2021. KRESS will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on November 25, 2021.
