The Regina Police Service, working in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, now confirms that a death investigation, begun on Wednesday, October 14th, is now a homicide investigation. The 24 year-old victim is Regina’s ninth victim of homicide in 2021.
The death investigation began on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, just before 11:00 a.m., when police patrol members were dispatched to an address in the 1700 block of Ottawa Street, for a report of a deceased individual. Police arrived and located the body of a deceased, adult female. Investigation, carried out in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, now indicates that this is a homicide.
The deceased person has been identified as 24 year-old Peri A. N. REDWOOD, of Regina. Her next-of-kin have been notified of her death and Victim Services will be advised to connect with family to offer resources.
Regina Police Service Major Crimes, assisted by the Coroners Service, will continue this investigation. At this early stage, there are no other details available for release.
