A 26 year-old Regina male has been arrested and charged in connection with four recent robberies in Regina.
These incidents were all robberies at small businesses:
August 22, 2021 – 200 block N. Winnipeg Street,
August 22, 2021 – 200 block East Broadway,
Sept. 14, 2021 – 100 block N. Albert Street
Sept. 15, 2021 – 900 block Winnipeg Street
In each of these cases, a male suspect entered the business premises and demanded cash from the employees on duty. On two occasions, the suspect showed a knife; on two occasions the suspect showed what appeared to be a firearm, while making his demands. The descriptions of the suspect in these cases led investigators to believe the same individual was responsible for all four robberies. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him, without incident, just before 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
Twenty-six year-old Timothy Nelson Gordon JONES, of Regina, is charged with:
- 4 X Robbery, [344(1)(b) CC];
- 4 X Disguise with Intent, [351(2) CC];
- 2 X Use of imitation firearm in the commission of indictable offence (robbery), [85(2)(a) CC];
- Carry concealed weapon, [90 CC].
JONES made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021.
