A Regina male is facing ten charges of mischief and as many vehicle owners are contemplating the cost of repairs to their vehicles, after a flurry of incidents in the early morning hours of Monday, September 13, 2021.
Police were dispatched about 12:53 a.m. on Monday, September 13th, to the area of the 900 block of Athol Street for a report of a male striking vehicles with a garden hoe. Police arrived and located a male matching the description given. The male was apprehended in the 1200 block of Garnet Street after a brief foot chase. The male was found to be in breach of conditions of release on a previous, unrelated incident. In all, ten vehicles in the 900, 1000 and 1100 blocks of Athol Street were damaged, with a variety of smashed windshields, side windows, back windows, and mirrors.
Twenty year-old Paul KEEPNESS, of Regina is facing ten charges of Mischief under $5,000, section 430(4) CC. He is also charged with Fail to comply with Release Conditions, 145(5)(a) CC. KEEPNESS will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021.
