On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at approximately 2:30 a.m., police received a report that a vehicle had struck a house on the 1800 block of Truesdale Drive.
Police arrived on scene and learned a lone male ran from the vehicle towards University Park Drive. The male was briefly spotted by police westbound on foot on Arcola Avenue, west of University Park Drive. Regina Police Service Canine Unit members tracked the male to a backyard of a home on Kliman Crescent where the male was apprehended and arrested for hit and run and impaired driving. The male was treated for dog bite injury sustained during the apprehension. A breath demand was made but the male refused multiple opportunities to provide a suitable breath sample. The male was charged with refusal.
No one was physically injured in the residence. The cost of repair of the damage to the victim’s home is estimated to be in the range of $20,000 – $30,000.
Twenty-one year-old Ethan Wiliam ROESCH, of Regina, is charged with:
- Impaired Operation [CC 320.14(1)(A)]; and
- Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand [CC 320.15(1)].
ROESCH is scheduled to make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at 9:30 a.m.
