Three individuals have been charged after an investigation by the Regina Police Service Online Stolen Property Unit.
On March 24, 2021 at approximately 1:10 p.m., police confirmed that two individuals – one male and one female – stole property from a local hardware store. The individuals then immediately attended to a home. Approximately one hour later, the stolen items were posted for sale online. That same day, at approximately 8:10 p.m., the two individuals attended to the same hardware store and stole additional property from the business. The suspects then attended to the same home and the property was posted for sale on the same online page approximately 30 minutes later.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., police arrested the two individuals for stealing the property. Later that evening, at approximately 11:40 p.m., police executed a search warrant at the home the individuals were attending – a residence on the 1500 block of 12th Avenue North. Police located the property observed stolen earlier that day, as well as a number of other items of brand new property. One male was arrested. As a result:
Fifty-seven year-old Vincent Anthony VANDEKAMP, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Trafficking In Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355.2]
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime For the Purpose of Trafficking [CC 355.4].
Thirty-one year-old Alexis Allison Helen MCKAY, and 27 year-old Connor NECHIPORENKO – both of Regina – have been charged with:
- Trafficking In Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355.2]
MCKAY, NECHIPORENKO and VANDEKAMP will all make their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court on August, 18, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
