The Regina Police Service has laid charges against two adults and a youth after a robbery incident on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, police were dispatched to Rae Street and 6th Avenue for a reported robbery of a food delivery driver that had just occurred in the 1200 block of Cameron Street. The victim indicated he was making a food delivery when a male walking northbound on the block approached him and demanded the keys to his car. The victim reported seeing what appeared to be handgun in the suspect’s hand. The victim was not physically harmed. Police conducted area searches as part of the investigation, but did not locate the vehicle immediately. The vehicle was later spotted by plain clothes members in the 4800 block of Gordon Road. Three persons were taken into custody; an adult female, an adult male, and a female youth. Police did not recover a firearm.
Forty-four year-old Douglas Keith MORRISON, of Regina, is charged with:
- Robbery [344(1)(b) CC];
- Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC]; and
- Operation of a Conveyance while Prohibited [32018(1)(a) CC].
Eighteen year-old Cyara Page NIGHTTRAVELLER, of Regina, is charged with Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC].
And a female youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC].
The youth accused was released on an Undertaking and will make her first court appearance in Youth Court on June 23, 2021.
MORRISON and NIGHTTRAVELLER made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. (today) Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
