The Regina Police Service, in consultation with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, has issued another ticket under the Saskatchewan Public Health Act for breach of the Public Health Orders on COVID-19. This is the eleventh such ticket issued by police in Regina.
The offence date for this ticket was January 14, 2021. Early that morning, at approximately 6:10 a.m., police received a complaint that a person at a residence in the 800 block of Elphinstone had a guest, or guests, at her house in spite of her COVID-19-positive diagnosis. Officers followed the necessary protocols for their protection and the safety of others in responding to the call. They confirmed the health status of the female as well as the validity of the isolation order. There was another female in the house who was asked to leave. After further investigation, a ticket was issued to the 42 year-old woman on January 20, 2021.
