On December 23, 2020, members of the RPS Stolen Auto Unit located a stolen vehicle in a parking lot of a business in the 1600 block of Park Street. Officers identified the driver as being inside the business. At approximately 8:25 p.m., police entered the business and arrested the male driver. In a search incident to arrest, police located a can of bear spray inside the stolen vehicle. As a result:
Thirty year-old Dustin Martin Lyle MORIN, of Regina, has been charged with:
• Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (A)];
• Possession of a Weapon [CC 88];
• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Weapon [CC 91 (2)];
• Fail To Comply With Condition of a Release Order [CC 145 (5)(A)].
MORIN will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on May 11, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
