The Regina Police Service is continuing its investigation into a collision that occurred on Saturday night in the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Lewvan Drive. It’s anticipated there will be charges, pending the outcome of the investigation. NOTE: it is not unusual for collision investigations to take weeks to reach conclusion.
Background:
On Saturday, December 12, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m. police were dispatched to the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Lewvan Drive for a report of a motor vehicle collision. Early stages of the investigation indicate a northbound vehicle on Lewvan Drive was attempting to turn westbound onto Dewdney Avenue when struck by vehicle that was southbound on Lewvan Drive. The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 69 year-old female, was transported to hospital with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, a 24 year-old male, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
