On November 20th , 2020 at approximately 9:35p.m. police attempted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of King Street. The vehicle did not stop, evading police. The vehicle was located a short time later in the1400 block of King Street and the driver was walking away. When approached by police the driver fled on foot but was apprehended and placed under arrest. The male had in his possession a firearm, Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and a stolen license plate.
Thirty four year old Kyle BLONDEAU is charged with the following offences:
Flight from peace officer [CC 320.17];
Possession of property obtained by crime [CC 355 (b)];
Carry a concealed weapon [CC 90];
Unauthorized possession of firearm in motor vehicle [CC 94 (1)];
Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition [CC 95 (1) (a)];
Possession of a firearm contrary to a Prohibition Order [CC 117.01 (1)];
Possession of ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order [CC 117.01 (1)];
Possession of a scheduled substance (Methamphetamine) for the purposes of trafficking [CDSA 5 (2)];
Possession of a scheduled substance (Fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)].
BLONDEAU is scheduled to make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, November 23rd , 2020 at 9:30am.
