A 21 year-old Regina female is facing a charge of Attempted Murder in connection with a stabbing incident in the early morning hours of November 4, 2020.
At approximately 4:11 a.m., on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, police were dispatched to hospital for a report of a male who had come into emergency with apparent stab wounds, needing immediate medical attention. Police were able to determine that the incident had taken place at a residence in the 1400 block of Robinson Street. There were several occupants inside in the house. Investigation by police led to identification of a suspect in the stabbing. Through investigation police also learned that the suspect and victim were in a relationship together. Investigation led to charges against the female suspect.
In cases of domestic conflict there is always a concern that identifying the accused will also lead to the identity of the victim. As this is a domestic conflict incident, the Regina Police Service will not release the name of the accused. The 21 year-old female is charged with:
- Attempt Murder [239 CC];
- Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC];
- Breach of Condition of Release Order [145(5)(a) CC]; and
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance [4(1) CDSA].
The accused will make her first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020.
