The Regina Police Service is asking the public for assistance on an investigation into a robbery which occurred at a business in Regina’s east end last night.
At approximately 7:20 p.m., police were dispatched to the business address in the 3700 block of East Quance Street for a report of a robbery in progress. When Police arrived, the suspect had already left the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates a male entered the business, selected products from the shelves and then walked toward the front door. An employee attempted to stop the male at the door and it’s alleged the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the staff member. Fortunately no one was physically injured in this encounter. The suspect was described as male, about 6’ tall, dressed in black clothing, including a black hat and a face covering. The suspect wore white shoes. It’s believed the suspect left the scene in a small, white car, heading eastbound. Police are continuing this investigation in an attempt to identify the suspect.
Anyone who may have witnessed this event, or may have information, is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). The Regina Police Service thanks the public and media for their attention to this matter.
