On the morning of Sunday, September 20, 2020, at approximately 5:35 a.m., police were dispatched to the 900 block of Victoria Avenue for the report of a weapons offence. Information received was that a male was recently pepper sprayed. Upon arrival, police located the victim, who declined EMS.
Police learned of a second weapons offence involving spray near Victoria Avenue and Winnipeg Street; however, the victim of this offence was not located.
Police located and detained the suspect, a twenty-two year-old male, on the 1800 block of 9th Avenue North. The male was identified and found to also be the subject of an outstanding warrant. A search of the male revealed a canister of a substance believed to be dog spray. The male was subsequently charged.
Twenty-two year-old Jordan Andrew STRONGARM, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Assault with a weapon [CC 267(A)]; and
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88].
