On August 16, 2020 at 4:46 pm police received a report of a break and enter to a compound at the Regina Public School Board located in the 2200 block of Pasqua Street. It was reported that 4 aluminum canoes owned by the Regina Public School Board were stolen sometime between July 1, 2020 and August 16, 2020.
On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, as a result of police investigation, members of the Property Crimes Unit executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Smith Street, in Regina. As a result of the Search, police located three of the stolen canoes. A forty-four year-old male was arrested and charged.
Forty-four year-old Dion Michael GALE is charged with:
- Break, Enter, and Commit [CC 348(1)(B)]; and
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355(A)].
GALE is scheduled to make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at 9:30 a.m.
