The pedestrian victim of a vehicle/pedestrian collision on August 14th has died. The Regina Police Service received word last week that the 31 year-old female who was struck by a vehicle, passed away in hospital in the early morning hours of August 19th.
Background: At approximately 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2020, several police units and EMS were dispatched to the area of Quinn Drive and Broad Street for a report of a pedestrian-involved collision. The preliminary information available to police indicated that an adult female was crossing Broad Street, at the intersection with Quinn Drive. The pedestrian was crossing from the east side of Broad Street toward the west side. The exact circumstances are still a matter of investigation; however, it appears a vehicle, travelling northbound on Broad Street, struck the pedestrian.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
