At approximately 9:10 p.m., on the evening of Monday, August 17, 2020, police were dispatched to a business on Albert Street and 4th Avenue for the report of a weapons call. Information received was that a male had threatened people with a knife. Police arrived and observed a male outside matching the description of the reported offense, and waving a knife. Police challenged the male to drop the knife, but the male did not comply and walked away. Police followed the male who then dropped the knife onto the street, where police seized it. The male was then taken into custody.
Thirty-six year-old Timothy Ryan SALTEAUX, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Assault with a weapon [CC 267(A)]; and
- Failure to comply with undertaking [CC 145(4)(A)].
SALTEAUX made his first appearance on this charge in Provincial court this morning, Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 9:30 a.m
