On June 19th, 2016 at 10:17 a.m. police attended to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Arthur Street and Dewdney Avenue.
The collision occurred when a motorcycle and minivan, travelling westbound on Dewdney Avenue, collided with each other. The driver of a minivan attempted to make U-turn from the far right lane to the eastbound lanes of Dewdney Avenue. The driver of a motorcycle was unable to avoid the collision and crashed into the side of the minivan.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 29 year-old female, was transported to the Regina General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the minivan was charged with “Drive without Due Care and Attention” [213(1) – The Traffic Safety Act].
