A 30-year old male from Ontario is facing charges related to drug trafficking following a recent investigation by the Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU).
At approximately 5:00 p.m. on January 19, 2024, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of University Park Drive and arrested the suspect.
Following the arrest, members of RDU, with the assistance members of the SWAT Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 Block of Barr Street.
The following items were seized during the course of this investigation:
- Several fraudulent identification documents;
- Over $66,000 in cash
- Over 500 grams of what is believed to be cocaine;
- Multiple cell phones; and
- Other items associated with drug trafficking
As a result, 30 year-old Denzel Alexander JOSEPH-NAPIER was charged with;
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355]; and
- 2 x Possession of Fraudulent Documents [CC 368(1)(d)].
JOSEPH-NAPIER made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on January 22, 2024 at 9:30 am.
