On Saturday, July 9, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m., police observed a suspicious vehicle that matched a vehicle that had been reported stolen on July 2, 2022. The vehicle was displaying a licence plate that did not match the vehicle. Police attempted to perform a traffic stop but the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. A short time later, police located the vehicle parked in the 400 block of Lorne Street and observed the driver walking away from the vehicle. A Canine officer, with the assistance of his Police Service Dog was able to take the male into custody.
Forty year-old Del BITTERNOSE, of Saskatoon is charged with:
- Flight from Peace Officer [CC 320.17]
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 [CC 355 (a)]
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [CC 355 (b)]
- Fail to comply with Condition of an Undertaking [CC 145(4)(a)]
BITTERNOSE will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on August 29, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
