An 18 year-old Regina male is facing charges including Robbery, after an incident on June 3rd, in which a 16 year-old male victim was bear-sprayed in the course of an alleged robbery.
Police were dispatched at about 11:05 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020, to an address in the 2300 block of Albert Street. They found a 16 year-old male who indicated he’d been sprayed with bear-spray a short time earlier, outside a business in the 1700 block of McIntyre Street. The victim and two other friends were on their bikes, when two unknown males approached and demanded the bikes. When the boys refused, it’s alleged one of the males discharged bear spray in the face of the victim. The suspects fled the area before police arrived. Continued investigation into this incident led to the arrest, without incident, of an 18 year-old male. Further investigation led to charges.
