Two adult males have been charged in an ongoing Break and Enter investigation.
Police were dispatched, at approximately 11:22 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, to the 100 block of Centennial Street for a report of a Break and Enter in progress in an apartment. The caller heard windows breaking and could see more than one individual entering the apartment. The officers called for additional units, believing there to be as many as four suspects. Two suspects were negotiated out of the building; both had their faces covered. As police were effecting the arrests, one of the suspects broke away and ran east-bound. A track by canine teams was unsuccessful in locating this suspect. A third male was taken into custody at the scene of the Break and Enter. Investigation into this event led to discovery of a knife on one of the suspects, and substances believed to be illegal drugs. Two males are currently facing charges; there are still suspects outstanding. The investigation continues.
