On Monday, June 1, 2020 at approximately 10:20 p.m., police were dispatched to the 700 block of Athol Street for a report of a robbery. Early information suggested a firearm was used in the commission of the offence and a male suspect was identified. When police arrived on scene, the male suspect had left the location.
At approximately 12:45 a.m., police located the suspect male entering a residence on the 6400 block of Rochdale Boulevard. He was taken into police custody without incident. As a result:
Twenty-seven year-old Warren Robert Alvin KAKAKAWAY, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344 (1) (B)] and
- Fail To Comply With Probation Order [CC 733.1 (1)].
KAKAKAWAY made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today (June 2, 2020) at 2:00 p.m.
