One adult male is in hospital with injuries described life-threatening, after a collision yesterday (Monday) afternoon on the Ring Road near Albert Street North.
On Monday, June 1, 2020, at approximately 3:30 p.m., police units were dispatched to the off-ramp from Ring Road S. to Albert Street N. for a report of a collision. Initial information indicated a truck had sped off the Ring Road at the ramp, flipped and then rolled onto the grassy area near the off-ramp. When police arrived, there were several people gathered around the 27 year-old driver, who had been ejected from the vehicle. EMS and firefighters also attended to the scene and the male was transported to hospital. Police closed off the roadway and began investigation, including gathering several witness statements. A collision reconstructionist and other traffic members gathered evidence and measurements from the roadway and collision scene. The driver remains in hospital.
