The Regina Police Service is looking for information that may help solve a series of mischief incidents involving smashed vehicle windows. At this time, there is no evidence that ties these cases together, but the similarity of these events and their proximity to each other suggest that at least some may be connected.
Between May 26th and June 2nd, the Regina Police Service received 44 reports of mischief in which vehicles were targeted. This accounts for 65% of all mischiefs during this time period. Of these 44 events, about 2/3 of the vehicle mischiefs (29 of 44) occurred over the past weekend: Friday, May 29th to Monday, June 1st. The areas of the city in which many of these events occurred are: Gardiner Park/University Park, South Albert, and Glencairn. The common detail in these mischiefs is a smashed vehicle window. At this time, police do not have any suspect descriptions to share.
