The Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU) completed an investigation into drug trafficking within the City of Regina. As a result of the investigation, a CDSA search warrant was executed on Saturday, March 14, 2020, in the 200 block of Edward Street.
During the search, Fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, GHB, psilocybin, a conducted energy weapon, bear spray and additional items used to traffic controlled substances were located and seized.
As a result of the enforcement action, 36 year-old Daniel WOODLEY and 25 year-old Rikki BEAR, both of Regina, were arrested and jointly charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate [GHB]) [5(2)CDSA];
- 2 X Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace [88CC]; and
- Failure to comply with conditions of a release order [145(5)(a)CC]
The accused made their first court appearance on March 16, 2020.
