The Regina Police Service has charged four individuals after a stolen vehicle was located on Wednesday night.
On February 26, 2020 at approximately 10:50 p.m., police located a vehicle driving in the area of Pasqua Street and 5th Avenue that was believed to be stolen. The vehicle, which had multiple passengers inside, later stopped in a parking lot in the 4300 block of Dewdney Avenue. It was confirmed that the vehicle was stolen.
Police observed two males near the vehicle. One male was arrested. He was found to be carrying a concealed weapon and was taken into custody.
Twenty six year-old Terrance DESNOMIE has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (A)]; and
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90].
Three female suspects were quickly located nearby and were also apprehended. In a search incident to arrest, it was found that each of the females was in possession of identification documents and financial documents that did not belong to them.
Thirty one year-old Mary Alyssa BUNNIE has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 ([CC 355 (A)];
- Identity Fraud/Possess An Identity Document [CC 56.1 (1)];
- Theft Shoplifting Under $5000 [CC 344 (B)]; and
- Fail to Comply With Probation Order [CC 733.1 (1)].
Thirty one year-old Jocelynne MCKAY has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (A)];
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000 [CC 355 (B)];
- Identity Fraud/Possess An Identity Document [CC 56.1 (1)]; and
- Fail to Comply With Condition Of An Undertaking [CC 145 (4)(A)].
Twenty nine year-old Alanna Louise WASACASE has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (A)];
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000 [CC 355 (B)];
- Identity Fraud/Possess An Identity Document [CC 56.1 (1)]; and
- Fail to Comply With Probation Order [CC 733.1 (1)].
All of the accused made their first court appearances in Provincial Court on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
