On January 2, 2020, at 7:50 a.m., police were dispatched to a break and enter on the 2100 block of College Avenue. It was reported that someone had broken into the building, taken property, and left. Investigation positively identified the 34 year-old male suspect.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., police observed what appeared to be a male on a bicycle attempting to break into a vehicle on Halifax Street. The male was arrested, and found to be the male identified in the previously mentioned break and enter. The male was also found to be in possession of stolen property in relation to both a theft from automobile on the 1500 block of McAra Street reported to police on January 2, 2020, as well as stolen property related to a break and enter at a business on the 1400 block of 1st Avenue on December 31, 2019. The male was subsequently charged.
Thirty-four year-old Robin Ethan KAISWATUM, of Regina, is charged with:
- Mischief under $5,000 [CC 430(4)];
- 2 X Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
- Fail to comply with undertaking [CC 145(4)(A)];
- Possession of break-in instruments [CC 351(1)]; and
- Break, enter, & commit [CC 348(1)(B)].
KAISWATUM makes his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, Friday, January 3rd, 2020, at 2:00 p.m.
