The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of a deceased male.
Police were dispatched on Tuesday, December 31 at approximately 9:32 a.m. to the 1500 block of Cameron Street for a report of a house fire. Police, EMS and the Regina Fire Department attended, and located an adult male in the residence, who was confirmed deceased. Officers secured the immediate area and requested the additional resources of the Major Crimes Unit, Fire Investigators, and Forensic Identification unit, as well as the Coroner.
Next of kin notification has been completed.
Police are working in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner to fully investigate the circumstances surrounding this death. An autopsy has been scheduled for next week.
