The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that could assist in an investigation into a weapons offence that occurred on Monday afternoon.
On Monday December 16, 2019, at approximately 12:50 p.m., police were dispatched to a business in the 5000 block of Sherwood Drive for a male who had been stabbed in the arm. Police attended and located the 53 year old male victim who had sustained a wound to his right forearm consistent with having been stabbed.
The victim was walking in the area of Hanbidge Crescent and Sherwood Drive when he was approached by three males who demanded money. When the victim replied that he had no money, one of the three suspects stabbed him in the arm. The victim walked to the 5000 block of Sherwood Drive and police were notified. EMS attended and transported the victim to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
The suspects were not known to the victim. It is unknown what direction the three suspects were last seen walking.
The suspect who stabbed the victim was described as male, slim build, and wearing camo pants, a black jacket, a black hoodie with the hood up and a blue bandana. The weapon was a butcher style knife with black tape wrapped around the handle.
The second suspect was described as male, short, stocky build wearing white pants, a light neon green jacket and a blue bandana.
