Unsolved cases are never closed. The Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit has arrested and charged two Regina males in connection with the December, 2017, murder of a 35 year-old Thurston James MINTUCK, of Regina, and the attempted murder of another male.
On Sunday, December 3, 2017, in what was Regina’s ninth homicide of 2017, police discovered an injured male, at about 2:45 a.m., in the 1200 block of Retallack Street. EMS attended the scene and transported the male to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Patrol units held the scene, as the Coroner, Forensic Identification and Major Crimes investigators took over the case. It was soon confirmed as a homicide case and the victim was identified as 35 year-old Thurston James MINTUCK. Investigation determined that there was a second male, also 35 years old, who was with MINTUCK at the time of incident. This individual was the victim of attempted murder in the same event. Continued investigation into this case resulted in evidence sufficient to make two arrests and lay charges against two males: ages 27 and 30. The two accused were arrested on Friday, December 13, 2019.
Twenty-seven year-old Nayo Pisim FOX and 30 year-old Timothy Mitchell LOUISON, of Regina, are jointly charged with:
