Continued investigation since early Sunday morning into the death of an adult male indicates that this is now a homicide case – the ninth homicide in Regina in 2019.
The Major Crimes Unit of the Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Coroners’ Service of Saskatchewan, is conducting a homicide investigation. This case began when police were dispatched at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019, to the 1200 block of Queen Street, for a report of a male lying in the street. Police and EMS went to the area and located an adult male, who was confirmed deceased by EMS. Police secured the immediate area and requested additional resources, including the Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Identification and a Coroner. Through investigation, police now believe this is a homicide investigation.
The deceased male has been identified and his family has been notified of his death. He is 23 year-old Keenan Scott TOTO, DOB: 1996/01/02, of Regina. RPS Victim Services has been assigned to follow-up with the family.
