A 22 year-old male and a 24 year-old male are facing charges after an investigation into an incident which occurred on Thursday October 24, in the 1000 block King Street.
On October 24, 2019, at about 9:40 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1000 block of King Street for a report of a firearm offence. Police located the victim, a 50 year-old male, who stated that a male suspect who is known to him, pointed a firearm at him and threatened to kill him.
After police arrived on scene further investigation resulted in the arrest of two suspects. A firearm was seized along with numerous gun parts and other offence related property.
The victim was not physically injured as a result of the incident.
Twenty-four year old Landon KEEPNESS, of Regina, is charged with:
- Using Firearm in Commission of Offence – Sec 85(1)(a) CC,
- Careless Use of Firearm – Sec 86(2) CC,
- Pointing a Firearm – Sec 87(1) CC,
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose – Sec 88 CC,
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm – Sec 92(1),
- Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition – Sec 95(1)(a), and
- Utter Threats – Sec 264.1(1)(a) CC
Twenty-two year old Dallen DESJARLAIS, of Regina, is charged with:
- Careless Use of Firearm – Sec 86(2) CC,
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose – Sec 88 CC,
- Carry Concealed Weapon – Sec 90,
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm – Sec 91(1) CC,
- Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition – Sec 95(1)(a),
- Weapons Trafficking – Sec 99 CC,
- Fail to Comply with an Undertaking – Sec 145(5.1) CC, and
- Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 – Sec 355(b) CC.
Both Landon KEEPNESS and Dallen DESJARLAIS will appear in Provincial Court on October 25, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.
