This weekend is QCM weekend in Regina and running enthusiasts from this city and across the country are expected to take to the streets in the pursuit of fitness and fun. The Regina Police Service wants to ensure that safety is part of that equation as well, and asks all motorists in Regina to be aware of this weekend-long event and the many runners and walkers who will be participating in the various races.
The weekend has smaller 5k and mini-marathon events, with a focus on families, which will draw participants of all ages. Sunday’s marathon and half-marathon events will be the long-course, high-volume events and will have Regina Police Service members at numerous traffic points on the course. You can check out the course for the event at //runqcm.ca/. Be aware that it’s going to be a busy weekend in and around Wascana Centre and the Conexus Arts Centre and drive with a little extra care. On Sunday, during the Marathon and Half-marathon events, be prepared to follow the directions of traffic safety officers and QCM course officials.
The Regina Police Service thanks the public for its anticipated cooperation and support of this event.
