A 43 year-old Regina male is facing six charges including possession of stolen property and possession of stolen identity documents after investigation by the Regina Police Service property crimes unit.
Police investigation into suspected stolen items being offered for sale online led investigators to meet with a potential suspect on August 16, 2019. The suspect had advertised baseball equipment for sale. The baseball equipment brought to the meeting by the suspect was reported stolen. Additional investigation yielded tools reported stolen in a recent Break and Enter. There were also tool carriers that had been reported stolen and the identity documents of 13 other persons. Some of the identity documents were reported stolen in recent Theft From Auto incidents. The male suspect was arrested and charged.
Forty-three year-old Sean Timothy HOGAN, of Regina, is charged with:
- 4 x Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 [355(b) CC];
- Possession of Identity Documents Belonging to Another Person (global charge for several victims) [56.1(1) CC]; and
- Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC].
HOGAN made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019.
