Mosaic Stadium will see more boots than black ties when Garth Brooks performs in the Queen City this weekend. The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour is scheduled for two nights: Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10, 2019. On both dates, gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the show starts at 7:00 p.m. Police are reminding motorists that there will be an increase in vehicle and pedestrian traffic as well as road closures in the Mosaic Stadium area prior to and following the concerts.
Beginning at 3:00 p.m. on August 9 and 10, there will be no vehicle traffic allowed on the 1500, 1600, and 1700 blocks of Elphinstone Street. Access will be limited to Regina Transit buses and local residents only. Attendees and motorists will find road closures on:
- 1500 block of Elphinstone Street at Dewdney Avenue;
- Princess Street and 9th Avenue
- Argyle Street and 9th Avenue;
- McTavish Street and 9th Avenue;
- Elphinstone Street and 9th Avenue;
- Montague Street and 10th Avenue;
- Elphinstone Street and North Railway Street;
- Saskatchewan Drive and Elphinstone Street.
As with any event that draws large crowds, police are reminding drivers to be patient and leave early to find enough time to park.
