The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service, has begun a death investigation, after an incident in the 1300 block of Garnet Street, just before 1:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2019.
At approximately 1:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 9th, police were dispatched to a house in the 1300 block of Garnet Street to assist a person in distress. Police arrived and located an adult male, who appeared to be unresponsive. EMS was also dispatched and confirmed the male was deceased. Officers cleared the house and no one else was located inside. Officers secured the scene and requested additional resources including the Coroner, Forensic Identification and Major Crimes. The identity of the deceased person has been confirmed; however, his name will not be released pending further investigation.
