A 36 year-old male and a 35 year-old female are facing charges in connection to a recent Theft of Auto. This investigation also led to recovery of a loaded .22 calibre revolver.
At approximately 12:13 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, police were notified of a vehicle driving erratically, going westbound on Victoria Avenue from Park Street. Police established that the vehicle was a stolen auto. Police were able to locate and observe the vehicle as it pulled into a parking lot of a business in the 900 block of Arcola Avenue. The driver and passenger exited the vehicle and went inside the business. Police entered the establishment and arrested the two suspects without incident. Further investigation led to the discovery of a loaded .22 calibre revolver, alleged to have been in the possession of the male suspect. Both individuals are facing charges.
Thirty-six year-old Jason Lee SPARVIER, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 (truck) [355(a) CC];
- Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition [117.01(1) CC]; and
- Possession of Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition [117.01(1) CC].
Investigation into this matter is ongoing and there may be charges pending the outcome of further investigation. SPARVIER is also a suspended driver. SPARVIER will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.
Thirty-five year-old Chelsea Lynn DUFRESNE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 (truck) [355(a) CC];
DUFRESNE was released on an Officers Undertaking and will appear in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on July 29, 2019.
