The Regina Police Service has begun a homicide investigation, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service, in connection to a single vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 8:46 p.m., on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.
On this date, police were dispatched to a report of a collision in the area of 5th Avenue and Lindsay Street for a single vehicle collision. Upon arrival, police discovered a deceased adult male in the vehicle. Further investigation into this incident led to the belief that this individual’s death is the result of homicide. The Regina Police Service Major Crime unit is leading this investigation, assisted by various other units of the Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan’s Coroner’s Service.
The deceased person has been identified as 30 year-old Denny Troy JIMMY of Regina. The family of Mr. JIMMY has been notified of his death.
