On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at approximately 3:37 pm, police were dispatched to a report of a two vehicle accident in the 2700 block of McDonald Street.
A 2005 Dodge SX20, blue in colour, which was determined to be stolen, was traveling southbound on the 2700 block of McDonald Street and collided head-on with a Nissan Versa traveling north bound on the same street.
The driver of the Nissan was transported by EMS to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the stolen Dodge fled from the scene on foot, east bound towards 18th Avenue. There were no other occupants in this vehicle.
The suspect driver is described as an adult male, average height, stocky build, wearing a red hoodie and shorts.
Canine, Patrol and Street Crime Units searched the area for the suspect male with negative results.
At this point in the investigation, police are unable to verify if this stolen Dodge is related to the firearms offence which occurred in the area of Cavendish Street and Dewdney Avenue East on the afternoon of June 4, 2019.
