A 33 year-old Regina male was arrested yesterday evening on outstanding warrants and now, as the result of investigation into recent occurrences, faces new charges as well.
On Thursday, May 2, 2019, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a member of the Regina Police Service Property Crimes Unit spotted an individual who matched the description of a male wanted on several outstanding warrants. The suspect was in the area of 12th Avenue and Montreal Street. A patrol unit went to the area and located the suspect male, who allegedly dropped two bags and fled on foot. A canine team started a track and led officers to a property in the 1900 block of Quebec Street. The owner permitted a search of the yard and officers found the suspect under a deck. The suspect was taken into custody. The bags recovered by police contained property from two recent break and enters. Investigation led to charges against the suspect male, in addition to the existing warrants.
Thirty-three year-old Logan Tyson CHARLES, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000. [355(b) CC];
- 3 X Identity Fraud – Possession of Identity Documents [56.1(1) CC];
- Possession of Break-In Tools [351(1) CC];
- Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC]; and
- Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC].
CHARLES made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019.
