The Regina Police Service is asking the public for any information that could help solve a street robbery that late last night (Sunday, April 28, 2019) in the 1100 block of Broadway Avenue.
Police were dispatched to the area at about 11:13 p.m., for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. A 49 year-old woman reported she was clearing snow and ice off her vehicle, when she was approached by three males, either youths or young adults. One of the suspect males demanded money from her and when she refused, all three gathered around her, holding sticks. The males pulled her purse from her and fled on foot. There is only a limited suspect description, but the victim described her assailants as follows:
- Suspect #1 – male, approximately 20 years old, medium build, wearing a light brown hooded jacket;
- Suspect #2 – male, 13-15 years old;
- Suspect #3 – male, shorter than the others, 13-15 years old, wearing a black hooded jacket with a vertical red stripe on the front.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries from this robbery. A search of the area by the canine unit was not successful in locating the suspects.
