A 47 year-old male is facing charges of Attempted Murder and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose after a stabbing incident which occurred on Saturday, March 30th, in the 1000 block of Athol St.
On March 30, 2019, at about 11:27 a.m., police were dispatched to the 3300 block of 6Ave, for a report of an injured adult male. Police located the victim, a 40 year-old man, in the west lane of 1400 block Argyle St. The victim sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds. EMS transported the victim to hospital with injuries described as life-threatening. Investigation into this event led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the lone male suspect. The investigation is still ongoing.
Forty-seven year-old Dennis Frances STONECHILD, of Regina, is charged with:
- Attempted Murder [239 CC]; and
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose [88 CC].
STONECHILD will appear in Provincial Court on Monday April 1, 2019.
