On September 3,
2018, police received a report of stolen property from a residence on the 5500
block of Mitchinson Way. A 41 year-old male was evicted from a fully furnished
residence and had taken several items when he left.
Investigation determined that the 41 year-old male had pawned one of the stolen
items two weeks after.
On September 14, 2018, police received a report of a quad ATV and trailer stolen from a garage on the 5500 block of Mitchinson Way in Regina.
Investigation into this incident led to the above-mentioned 41 year-old male, who had traded and sold the stolen ATV and trailer as his own in February of 2019. Police were notified when the buyer later attempted to have a key made for the ATV, and a dealer notified the buyer that the ATV was stolen.
On March 22, 2019, the 41 year-old male was arrested.
Forty-one year-old Andrew John HARPER, of Regina, is charged with:
- Fraud over $5,000 [CC 380(1)(A)];
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)]; and
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)].
HARPER makes his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on May 6, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.
