The Regina Police Service is asking members of the public for information to assist in the investigation of an apparent shooting yesterday evening (March 19, 2019).
At approximately 7:40 p.m., on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Elphinstone Street for a report of an injured person. Police found the victim, a 16 year-old male, on the sidewalk: conscious, but obviously in pain. EMS attended and transported the male to hospital. His injuries were described as non life-threatening and are consistent with a shooting injury. Police are continuing to investigate to try to learn more about the circumstances of this incident. There are no suspects in custody. At this time, the investigation into this event does not indicate an increased risk to members of the public.
